The Products of Animal Origin(Disease Control) (England) Regulations 2008
The SI that brings The Meat Hygiene Council Directive 2002/99/EC into English law on 6th April 2008. It makes provision for controls on meat and meat products in the event of an outbreak of exotic diseases. These include FMD, rinder pest, classical swine fever and avian flu.
