About the Guide to the Food Hygiene and Safety Regulations.

Most other guides we have seen, including some recommended to us by officials, were written before 2006 when all the new regulations came in. Thus, they are out of date. Most tell you to read them alongside the regulation, which means you must get hold of the latest version of the text to understand what the guide is saying. That is why we have put the relevant text of the latest versions in our Guide with the official advice and a brief explanation.

We will be revising the Guide this autumn with any new legislation. Suggestions for greater clarity would be welcome. The Guide is sent to members free as part of the benefits of membership. Further copies may be purchased from the website.

Many people have told us that they found it useful. Some have read it all through like a novel; but most have used it to find out what the rules are for different subjects.
